Long Time Without Updates

If you didn't know me (or look at my Instagram), you might think from the lack of updates that I haven't been running. You might think that I teetered off and that my new healthy "habits" had died off. I'm glad to say that isn't the case. I just stopped updating because it all felt silly to write about running. I kept running and working toward my goals. I ran all through the fall and the cold winter. I slowed down in February and then again in April due to work, a death in the family, and my kids constantly being sick. I wrote about that on my other blog too. But I have gotten into my groove and have been running a lot during May and June. Before, I was trying to work up to a half marathon. I wanted to reach that goal so badly because it sounds so big. In the meantime, though, I started to get injured. I would run three days a week or else I would hurt more. I could not run consecutive days without a rest day. My knees hurt. My ankle hurt.
